The weekend has started !

Hey guys,

Phillip Oakley dynoed his big engine last night and is getting ready to go to the NHRA Div 3 points race (aka Indy Prep) at Beech Bend this weekend. Randy Malik rolled into town today (Wed) and his engine is on the dyno now. He'll be dynoing Thursday & Friday. Paul Kane comes in town Friday to visit and for the drag boat races, Thunder On the Green at Livermore, KY., this Sat. & Sun. Dave Freelander rolls into town Sat. morning and will be dynoing one of his engines Sat. & Sun., with Randy's help. There's a big Bar-b-que and cookout at Jet Boat Bob's Friday night. Now then, my problem is,,,,,,,,,,how can one guy be in three different places all at the same time? That's a nice problem to have, isn't it!

It's Sunday morning and here's the weekend report thus far, for our local boys.

1. Phillip Oakley is at the NHRA Div 3 Points Meet at Beech Bend and he is in the show for Top Dragster. He's qualified #10 with a 6.752 @ 196.44 mph. Although I don't know his 1/8th mile time, a 6.75 quarter equates to a 4.27 eight.

2. Rapid Ronnie Smith driving Lem's old boat, and Eliminator is #1 qualifier in the nine second class at Thunder On the Green, with a 9.0026 et.

3. Dan Roak driving his Texas Tunnel, with a 533 CID engine built by Lem and I, is # 2 qualifier in the ten second class at Thunder On the Green, with a 10.015 et.

4. Freelander and Malik have the EMC Hemi on the dyno and running, with a full day of testing slated.

5. It's a beautiful day with blue skies, good weather and all!

6. Blake, payback is hell and you got it coming big boy!
