I'll start this game with I want and y'all will respond with... You're nucking futs because... Now that we understand the rules, let us begin.

I want a stock block with a Scat 4.5 and rods (?) 12.xx - 13.0 compression (VP110 or e-85 with appropriate fueling changes) and I want to be able to drive to the track which is 50 miles away and next closest track which is ~500 miles away.

P51's and a flat hood.

Should I stop now?

That's a really good point, we have an ethanol plant nearby, I wonder if their QA guys would chat and I could find out if I could mix my own.

I love e85 my runs perfect on it I never check the fuel i just run it and its cheap

cons
you cant get it everywhere
uses 30% more than gas
I hear that it absorbs water if left a long time but mine sat 3 months no problem
the mix does change

pros
its cheap
you can run higher comp
makes more power
runs cooler
way cheaper than race gas

What's your HP/TQ goal? Why the 12-13:1 CR? What's the ET you want to run?

Stock hood on a Mustang might be a problem. Even with k-members spacers.

You can get a stock hood on it with a ported "Torquer II" intake manifold.

We cannot have anything protrude more than 2 inches beyond the bottom of the windshield glass. I think thay mean the clear glass as most factory hoods are higher than the glass.
That's what I was thinking or one of the 8v manifolds...if they can keep up.

Horse power goal is 8-825 to run low nines (and look like a 13 second car)...Now I do realize that some might think this is unrealistic but I want to see how close one can get.

There must be people that collect 460 blocks that I could mail my sonic tester to in exchange for a deal on one that could go to 4.5 x 4.5

Don't hold your breathe in regards to a stock block that will go 4.500" bore size and LIVE.

How much wall thickness do we want for durablility? 180 190 225?

Anyone know how much power those 8v manifolds or torker 2s will support?

I'm still not sure who's responsible for what between you and Lem...Do you sonic check your blocks?

MDQ

Can you offset bore in a cylinder to maixmize wall thickness? what does that do to endplay if anything?

Yes we can sonic test blocks when requested. If you buy a new SVO block from Lem, it comes with a sonic test sheet. Yes, blocks can be offset bored and it should not affect end play on the crankshaft. When you think about it, there is a certain amount of lateral movement of the rod on the piston pin, and this can "absorb" that amount of offset boring, when/if you offset bore a block on the non-thrust walls.
