Went racing for the first time in over a year!

Loaded up and went to Greer(SC) Dragway sat. First time run 5.550 w/1.197 60ft @ 122.48, 2nd time run 5.540 w/1.194 @122.48, Dash for Cash run -.001 red 5.542 w/1.195 @ 122.15 off a 5.53 dial. 1st rnd. dialed 5.53 went .002 5.520 w/1.187 @ 121.18 on the brakes (DA got better). Bought back dialed a 5.51 went .016 5.518 w/1.191 @ 122.50. Won by .006 MOV. They called us up for the 2nd rnd of buybacks and the starter took a crap and I didn't even leave the pits.

I had a great time, the car was perfect and I wasn't doing too bad driving either. It was good to see a lot of old friends and hanging out with my buddies again. Hoping to get things fixed and try it again this coming weekend.

Sounds like you haven't lost anything. Always carry 2 of everything

It seems like that every time I make the decision to carry a spare part (like a starter and starter drive pinion) the part will never fail at the track again.

I had a spare starter, just didn't have enough time to change it.
I did forget to turn the waterpump on before my first pass.

Keith, I have always been the same way. I carried a spare trans around for years and everybody but me has used it at some time or another. I'm to the point now I'm not working on it too much at the racetrack.
