rons injection
i'm putting a ron's injection on with ex514 intake and need an idea where to start at.this setup was on a 427bbx and has 40's in the nozzles.what would be a safe place to start at? 526 A460's 14.1

The Ron's stuff is good, but you need to get the nozzels flowed........and not by Ron's lol.

Re: rons injection
Sounds like some old stuff, that is the smaller old style BV, pump should have a number on it.

Re: rons injection
I agree the 40's will be too big. I ran 40's with my A headed 588 and the same pump, but the pump was at the limit and it showed by needing a 66 pill. Going to upgrade to a #1 pump for the new 598.
The 38's will be good to start with about an 80 pill and 25-26% leakdown. Should be a good safe starting point.

It's been at the chassis shop a little south of you (Athens, Al) for a little over 3 weeks now. Chassis guy got behind, but he was straight up with me a didn't try to come up with any excuses, so I can deal with it. Just waiting on it for headers, motor plate tabs and a handful of other things. As soon as I get it back, the block goes to the machine shop. Hope to get it back in the next couple of weeks.
Re: rons injection

I race mainly at Steele (Alabama International). Come on down sometime. Only about 1:15 from Huntsville. Good regular weekly program + a $5K once a month.
Glad you got your running. That one barrel does turn up quick doesn't it. That's why I use a 3 step for the burnout. Without one, it's just too easy to hit the high side chip before you can lift your foot off the pedal.

Re: rons injection
What track are you going to on Friday? I would like to learn about tuning on the Rons system. Might be able to help out if needed.

Re: rons injection
when we put the M5 in Mark's fairmont I asked him if it was sealed good...he assured me it was.............needless to say he was ready to get out after the M5 pass............said he nearly had to bail right after the burnout.
Don't put no fruity crap in it for the smell..................that way you get the raw musk of the alky.............you'll be an alky injected freak like me and KY now..........................
