I need help. Currently I am running a 351c in my 71 mach 1. Am going to put a 460 in it this winter so I can run a new class. Need help on the right intake, cam, pistons and rods. Also will the stock crank be good enough. I am hoping to run mis 11's with this car.

The stock 460 crank is a stout until. Are you looking for a stroke, stoke bore setup or what displacement is your goal? Depending on the stroke you could use stock rods and strengthen them. Scat is good with rods and cranks. Diamond pistons and Keith Black pistons are the same company and both have awesome pistons. Very Happy

More info is needed for us to tell what cam should go in it. Chances are some of the guys like Lem, Charlie, Blake, and Randy (they are experts) will chime in and set you up with a good custom ground cam.

The stock cranks have been used in blown and N20 applications well north of 1000hp. Yes they are fine. Your goal of 11's are well below that. No expert on the hp requirements to go that fast, but there are several different build levels laid out the tech archives. Cool

rem you have to change frame horns, and transmission for this swap, crossmember will be the same.

as far as a 460 goes do you have a $$ amount in mind for this build? do you have anyparts to start with?
