Looks and sounds pretty good, although I do have a question or two, if I may? I noticed the oil pressure moving lower a time or two from 60 PSI to 50 PSI, give or take a bit. Have you noticed this as well? Question 2, it seems your engine is not being "pulled back" into it's power range at the shift. Could a "tighter" converter be of use?
These are only observations of mine. You are far ahead in performance than I'll ever be, so there's alot I don't know about cars like yours. Just curious.
Dave.

Do you have wheelie bars? and what was the timing before you lowered it?

No wheelie bars as of yet. Will be getting some and a chute. The timing was at 35* and we put it to 30* so we could make a run. Two weeks ago we broke a input shaft on the first run so this was really are first runs.

Yes the oil pressure moves around which is fine but the only time it get really low is on decell and if I get on the brakes hard. The oil runs away from the oil pick up. About the converter thats the only one I have. But sounded and felt good to me. But I'm only 26yrs old and can still learn a few things. I can't wait to get wheelie bars and put the timing back in the motor.

Let me say. I'm impressed BBFalcon! IMO, I think some shock adjusting would address that wheelie issue instead of "wheelie bars'. Most times I've seen "wheelie bars" ask to control abnormal wheel stands, it usually turns disastrous! Also remember, if the engine is spinning, it needs oil regardless whether the job is acceleration or the job of acceleration is over!

The oil pressure is alway there when the motor is spinning. There's nothing I can do after the strip to keep the oil pressure up. Beside a dry sump set up. So I just cut the motor off in the shut down area.

Dave hit it on the nose! If 5* timing made that much difference I would be doing some chassis tuning, shocks/struts, or maybe a 4-link/ladderbar adjustment. That thing came up quick, wheelie bars are probably going to unload the tires with no other changes. A little bit of added nose weight can do wonders for a car also.
Looked like a nice smooth pass in the 2nd vid.

Get some wheelie bars and put that timing back up to 35 or higher. Lots of HP left on the table ! Can you say 8.50's ?

It would be nice but my dad has been doing it this way since 1985 when he built the car. I've been driving for the last 3 years. Every time we tear the motor down the bearings look perfect. It's fun ride with the new power plant and 95" wheel base
Re: Finally made some runs 77 Mustang II. In car video's HD
I never used one until this build. The piece of mind of having it means alot to me.
