Remembering..................
19 years ago we lost a true giant among men.
Odd thing is at about the same time frame it happened we had one hell of a t-storm here in the AM. Tree limbs down everywhere from the 80 mph winds, 2.5 inches of rain, lightning like I have never seen in my life...........weird.
RIP brother.

A genuine guitar god. Saw him play many times, always left in awe. Music hasn't been the same since he left us. RIP Stevie.

Re: Remembering..................
Yeah, I miss him too.
My Dad and I were at Indy nationals in 1990. That night we watched his last performance on Austin City Limits. I said to my Dad, Damn, people as great as him are all dead. And what like two weeks later??, he was dead
I still feel guilty all theese years for saying that. Talk about karma....

Re: Remembering..................
Saw him in St. Paul, Mn. at Riverfest. Wasn't long after that and he was gone. I'd love to be able to play 1% as well as he did. I still love his music, it never gets old.

Re: Remembering..................
I play guitar and in college I absolutely worshipped SRV. Learned every song and solo that I could. I can still see his influence on the way I play today even when I'm just piddling around.
Saw him in concert on Jeff Beck's tour. Got to see 'voodoo chile' live!
When he died, my mom actually called me to console me because she knew I would be upset. My friends and I had a 'wake' in his honor.

SRV was a classic. Amazing talent and seemed quite modest.

Listened to a two CD set all day yesterday on a 300 mile road trip. Super music. I like to slower bluesy stuff the best.
