Mix and match bottom end pieces
I got the pair of 460 short blocks here, one is a d1ve block and the other is a d9te block. Both are factory stock, although missing a couple pieces here and there. I was wondering if there would be any benefit to putting the crank from the d9 block into the d1 block and using aftermarket balancing components on the rotating assembly in order to reduce my rotational weight at the crank.

Nope, nothing wrong with either block as far as I can tell so far. Both motors are high mileage builders and was figuring since I was gonna have them apart anyhow I might as well find out what I can mix and match between them.

You may run into issues if you try to put the older crank in the d9 block but the other way works fine
