Ford 9" rear end help
If a guy was going to pick up the phone and order a rear end from Currie that was a Ford 9" with a Detroit Locker would you just go ahead and go with 35 spline axles? From what I can tell on the website it doesn't appear to cost any more. Is more always better?

better look up quick performance on EBAY they will save you a ton of money. You can probbaly pick up disc brakes for the price you going to pay Currie. The 35 spline axels are heavier "slower" unless you are making 1000hp or more i would stay with the 31spline i have the 31spline in my 70 mustang with a 466 and have had no problems almost 10 years 391 detroit locker. runs 10s in the 1/4 NA.

imo.35 spline axles are kinda like a aftermarket engine block,it's there for you if you want more power down the road.

Well Studly I took your advise and ordered from Quick Performance. Talked with a super cool guy (Jay).
He did talk me into the 35 spline axles since it didn't cost anymore. Ended up with an Strange Iron N case, 3.89 gears, Detroit Locker, Moser axles, and 11" drum brakes and 54" housing for 2300.00 shipped.
