Tranny is in the car!!!
May not seem like a big deal to some of you guys here, but I've spent the last few hours wrestling this damn FMX into my torino. Some will ask why I didn't go with a C6, and to be honest I DO have a C6 but it's in dire need of a rebuild, so I went with the "el cheapo" big bell FMX that I got for $50. Fluid in the FMX is clean and everything spins very nicely, I just have to finish bolting it up and connecting all the little stuff. Also, if anyone happens to have a spare bell housing bolt I would like to get it from you as I seem to have misplaced one of them, but other than that I should have the ol girl back on the road before my birthday

WTG Matt. Them FMX's are big pigs. The bell housing bolt is just a 7/16" bolt, nothing special. Make sure of the length and get one at the hardware store.

Yeppers, that FMX, DRY is about as heavy as a C6 full of (burnt) fluid, lol. On the bright side they're durable (at least enough to live behind a warmed over 400) and take very little power to move, and are cheaper than dirt to get another one if I do manage to blow this one to pieces, lol.

Just remember them old fmx trans some times need to warm up before they will move in the winter time.I ran a fmx in my 69 mustang coupe 2 years and raced it with the fmx fire it up waite for 3,4,or 5 mins and then it would go in gear load it and go racing it was ready then until I let it sit for 4 or 5 hours.
