main cap weight!
What do you guys think the weight savings would be if I converted my main caps off of my eliminator block from billet steel to billet aluminum and turned the mains on my billet crank down to a cleveland size????" Looking to pull some weight out of the front of the car and this seems like the only place since I have done everything else I could think of.
Looking to get 30lbs out!!

if you make any kind of real power you run the risk of breaking the rear main cap, like ive seen more then a few times with alum caps

If you really care about weight, go with an aluminum block. At 5G from Jon Kaase, they are in the same ball park with a lightened eliminator, and you can get a tall deck to keep the wrist pin out of the ring groves on a big stroker.
