hey everyone
Hi there. I bought my first mustang just over a year ago. It's and '87 GT and it was in rough shape. Since I had to dump x amount of money into it just to turn it into a daily driver, I caught the modding bug (who wants to put stock parts back on an engine anyways). I've since been contemplating what engine I would like to build to drop in between the fenders. I've thought about everything from a wimpy 306 to a 408 to most recently either a 460 or a 514. I know nothing about big blocks (or carbs for that matter), so I've been signing up on here and other BBF sites to learn a bit. The car will stay a daily driver that will see a little bit of track time (prolly just stick with test 'n tunes and the gamblers they have around here). I'm sure I'll be asking questions in no time. Does anyone have any other suggestions as to where I can learn what I need to about BBF's? Thanks in advance.

The bbf's make alot of cheap power/torque. lots of parts floating around old/new. You won't be disappointed. Welcome to our site.

Re: hey everyone
a 572 would be awesome, but I figured I would do just a stock bottom 460 except the cam (unless new pistons were needed) to help keep the cost down...I found someone who sells ported irons at a very reasonable price, so hopefully I won't have to skip meals to get the rest of the parts to make the swap....remember, I have to do a carb conversion on top of the motor and trans
