Did anyone catch the comment Tony made to John Force after climbing down off of Tasca's car.

"Why dont you see if you can show emotion John" I love you

John mumbled something after that, but they didn't look at each other as John and Ashley walked past him, and Tony damn sure didn't congratulate John on his 15th championship.

What a sour puss Tony is. John should have kicked his ass last year! sunny

Im sure Tony knows what goes on for sure. Tony is a racer still in my book.
Force gave it away last year at INDY, plain and simple. NHRA aint nothing but a corpoprate circus show anymore.Just like Nascrap.
I feel sorry about the Sportsman racers who put up with the bullshit at national events. Hell, they are the ones who DESERVE the tv coverage.

I agree that he gave that race to Robert. But he is a business man, and that was a business decision, that paid off large. Tony may need to think back whos equipment and money it was that won his championship. Pro categories are about the money, not the race! Add drama, and you add viewership. Why do you think they didn't have time to run all of the prostock races? Had to have the Matt/John escapade cheers

I have lost a lot of races, and never became a poor looser. (maybe its all of the experience) I love you

It's not their money anyway, it's all about the show and personal pride. NHRA could care less about anything less that the show!

Tony also needs to remember on that day,,,,, "a girl kicked his ass" that is also a real racer. Very Happy

I don't even like watching anymore. Pro Stock is my favorite class and they barely even show it. It's all about the John Force show now.

I'll always like it...Anybody would've threw that race in his position. If you say you wouldn't have done it ,then you don't have any clue of the money involved and sponsorships involved. I've threw a few in my day ,just to level a playing field in certain places....It's done everywhere, small tracks ,large tracks...It's part of the game...John Force came from nowhere and built his Empire..My hats off to him cheers king

Thats right! nHRA didn't make John Force, but John certainly has made them. I am a fan because I know he came from nothing. As far as the racing goes, if I had my choice of any category, it would be Pro Stock! study

I guess the NHRA events are officially just "Entertainment" and not meant to be real "Racing" anymore. The NHRA Unleashed series is interesting, but thay will probably figure out some way to ruin that too! I used to watch all the NHRA events on TV but lost interest because of the BS going on and because ESPN does such a crappy job of televising the races. I've enjoyed the few ADRL events I've been able to find on TV but they only show 30 minutes at a time. Having Dixon win the Top Fuel Championship in his Top Fuel Toyota (????) turns my stomach!

Think it was Allen Rhinehart that made the comment. PS was my pick but it just seems so rigged now especially with the new points farce that I dont care for it anymore.

Why do the sportsman racers deserve all the coverage? They don't have multi-million dollar teams going 300MPH....Funny you'd know what NHRA stands for Al.......Have you got a liscense or a membership? I'm not crazy about all the cost of being a NHRA racer and member, but I do support the cause. I like feeling safe about myself and my car and the guy in the other lane. Wonder where we'd all be racing if nobody supported NHRA or the sport of Drag Racing ? I'll keep paying my dues and certification cost as long as I can ,so I can run the races I want to run in. While I agree with Dan that the pro's deserve the TV coverage, I agree with Al that NHRA leaves alot to be desired when it comes to the treatment of their sportsman racers. I run both IHRA and NHRA and I have never been treated nicer than at ANY IHRA event Divisonal or National.

Let me re-phrase that. The Sportsman racers deserve their share, not all of it. Sorry, but I was going on a rant Smile
Personally I can identify with the Sportsman racers. It especially ruined it for me when they chopped them from TV. Nothing like seeing my freinds in the finals/etc.
Its nice to see the NHRA "Unleashed" come about. So maybe someone in marketing has their shit together....

And yes, we need MORE I.H.R.A. tracks for sure. Always enjoyed the their programs. But they are hurting right now. Heck everyone is hurting. Thank GOD we have other sanctions. Competition between sanctions is good. IMO.

Im Done..
