how do you guys center up your motor when installing motorplates in a foxbody

Most people just install the motor with the stock offset to the pass. side if you center it you are going to have to do work on the tran tunnel.

I used a D&D Motor mount kit with headers and everything went in realy good then used a level and angle gauge to get it where i wanted it

well where would you pull your measurements from to get the offset

i put the motor in with a carb plate then hooked up headers and transmsion then leveled the motor set it as far back and as low as it would go trying to get the motor close to 3-5 degress angle unless you using a dropped rack then you can get a neutral or negative cant on the motor

X2 That's the way I did mine, that way you can get everything aligned and clearanced. then the last thing you do is build your mounts.

Before I pulled the 5.0 out, I measured from the centerline of the crank to the inside of the frame rail. Up and down, and fore and aft, I put it where I wanted it.

i see ,well i went with dropping my k member with spacers and using the mounts i had b4 the motorplates and hooked up the trans mission where it was b4 and it looks good it sits a million times better with the spacers and motorplates

I've done both D&D........and skinny kid. The skinny kid off set was alot less work,it's best to have the 2" drop in your K member.
