Based on the Chevy "Bozos", it would be considered a conventional head. Razz

Your right the Chevy guys are allowed to move the valves and raise the ports too.... Thats Conventional "Race Heads".... Wink Rolling Eyes Laughing

I can see the headlines now.... "Factory Boss heads Banned because the Chevy "Conventional Race Heads" can't run with them"....... Same crap they do when some hillbilly shows up with a set of Cleveland heads in the circle track stuff and hands them their asses....... Laughing Laughing

Chevy guys are a bunch of crybabies...... Rather than figure out how to get their junk to run.... they outlaw the competition to only allow their stuff to run.... BO F'n HOOOOO... Evil or Very Mad

and I love the 1fastZ28 screen name....... Trying to say something their big boy???

Simple Fucking answer.... They are "FACTORY"......... Fords don't use the term "CONVENTIONAL"...... Thats a GM term to limit the competition..... Suspect

Yes, they are a "convential" head. They are reproductions of the original factory Boss 429 heads. They use a factory intake gasket in the correct "low" port location and they use a factory exhaust gasket, also in the correct "low" port location. Some improvements were made in the valve train rocker geometry and also in the oiling.

Furthermore they are more "stock" than most all aftermarket "convential" Chevy heads that have had the intake valve incline angle changed from the factory dimension of 26* to the aftermarket dimension of 24*.

Hope this helps,

Uncle Charlie
