guess intro time
Most of you know me from the old forum.
I am Dave Maxwell from central Illinois. I have been married to Tina for 10 years this october 2nd.
I have two beautiful children Donavon 6, Sophia 15 months.
I work at Komatsu building big dump trucks. If anybody saw belly of the beast on discovery, that is where i work. They did a show about us.
I run the trucks and do hydraulic and electrical system checkout and repair.
I have been into the car hobby since i was a kid. My Dad restored a 57 fairlane 500 retractable hard top for my sister as her graduation present. It went to Denmark whe she sold it.
Won alot of awards with it. He used to race dirt track and drag some. Always working on something.
We redid a 66 merc comet caliente factory 390 as my grad present. I still have his 55 crown vic.
Which was suppose to be my grad present, but i wanted a mucsle car instead.
He did all the work except for interior on all the vehicles.
Hope i can do all the stuff on my truck as nice as he did.
He passed away in 98 and my Mom passwed away in April of 09
I have ridden motorcycles since i was 4. I quit riding street when i had Donavon. Had a hayabusa at the time. will have one with a turbo before i die.
Thinking about riding in the antique class at the Peoria tt track
I love working with metal. (would have been a blacksmith back in the day I think).
My current project is a 1970 f100 2x3 chassis.
trim, handles and body seams all smoothed.
2003 f150 seats, vintage air. 33x21.5 mickeys in back. 588 being built by the Kentucky boys.
cowl hood, digital dash.
Think that about sums it up.
Ooops forgot. I'm an aquarius, i like long walks on the beach and dinner and dancing. LOL
