Trade 429 to 460?

Some days ago I wrote my motor codes to identify it.

Now someone offered me to trade my 429 engine for a 460.
Here again my codes:
Intake:
DOVE*9425*B
F4 007

Block:
DOVE-A

Nameplate:
*29 71 7
3 Ford K811 J
* is probably a 4, but I can not read it

Here the codes of the 460:
Block # D1VE-6015-A2B
Heads D0VE-C from 1977.
Edelbrock intake
Holley carburator and valve covers
Distributor probably Pertronix.
He said its a used engine which should be rebuild out of a cobra with 389PS.

I know it is hard to say how good this trade is without looking into this engine...
thats why i just want to know if the 460 is always a good engine with this block and heads.

The trader is looking for a original engine for his mustang...and i want a good engine for my model a roadster...

to switch this engine should be plug and play isn't it?

i just want to know if it is a interesting offer for me, of course i dont want to make a loss...
if my engine is more worth then his engine is, its easy to decide!

this is my first thought!
because i know my engine since 2 years and about 1000miles.

but if i suppose his engine is as good as he told me...maby i could save much money...

what does his codes mean?
from 1977, aren't this weaker engines than the ones from early 70's?

unfortunately i dont know what heads are on it.
I dont have the car near to my home...so I just have some pics of my engine where the head codes are missing
