about a 76mm. dinosaur of a turbo. very inefficient for a gas motor.

My brother uses the turbos off a 5.9 Cummins for is Honda engines. I want to say those are 56mm Holsets.

So it would work on a stockish 460?

I would not go through all that work for so little gain.

that does seem like a lot of work and b.s. for an old used turbo that you dont have any real specs on. Plus, unless you know the history, that thing could have a half million miles on it and let go at any time.
Unless you just want to experiment.

the map would be awful on a gas burner. remember they were built to run on 1800-2200 rpm engines.

4 of them might work decent on a stroker engine. I've actually been debating it.

I have plenty of room in the new truck but I'm thinking twin 88's or S480's are going to be better for me.

Re: Turbo help what turbo do I have
After more researching I found that the t46 was replaced by the ht3b. This turbo is rebuilt and has no shaft play in it. Im wanting to run it in a fox with a mild 460. Dont want a race car just something different. Will this turbo support 600hp? If things need to be changed what are they? thanks

You could get 600 horses N/A without even trying. Turbos are a pain in the rear to setup and unless your shooting for 1000 or more it's not worth it. This will be my 3rd turbo BBF engine so I'm speaking from experience.

Are they that hard to set up? I may just want to stick to N/A and nitrous.

it's not hard but a single turbo is not normally practical on that large of an engine due to backpressure issues with the large volumes of air that we are talking about in these engines. Y would have to keep your revs really low. It would make so much low end torque that it probably would not be fun to drive on the street.

planning on it. trying to coordinate schedules. they are the last group to post their schedule. we are planning on two OTT5 races, all the TTT5 races, a couple WTTTF races and what ever will fit in between all those in wild street. hoping for a good year of racing. last year killed us. we are making a couple of changes; new ignition, new anti-roll bar, moving some weight around.
