comp cam retainers
Does anyone on here use comp cam spring pn.947?, I need a set of chrome molly retainers to fit them, I know someone makes them, but I can't find them.

What's the spring diameter? I have some but mine are for 1.47-1.55 diameter springs. I'm thinking the 947's are a 1.625" spring.

Re: comp cam retainers
I don't have them here to measure. I'm headed up that way soon, or if Charlie reads this, maybe he could measure them for you. I am pretty sure they would be what your looking for. They are Comp retainers for triples.

Harold, let me double check with Charlie, I know he has a set of keepers I'm not sure on the retainers. I am out of town until Sunday night.

Re: comp cam retainers
Here is what he needs...........
1.500" total dia.
1.180" 1st step
.870" 2nd step
.635" 3rd step
It could matter if the retainer was +.050" or not considering that the spring is rated at 2.00" installed ht.

Lem,
Is the moly retainer that Harold needs the same as what comes w/TFS A heads when new? If so I have a set for him.
Harold, since your drawing (OLD AGE PENSION)check. I could let you have them at a reduced price of FREE.

Re: comp cam retainers
TFS package is not C.M. steel........Ti. it is and the springs are double.
The guy I want to talk to the MF'er that told him he needed triple springs for his application.
I don't want to say this but I will...........Harold, if you had called me 1st you would not be in this queered up package

Curt,
No sir, there is nothing here at my place. I turned everything over to Jet Boat Bob, when I gave him the heads a long time ago. The date on the final flow sheet is 8-6-09, so it was back then.

OK, thanks Charlie. I'll take a look when I make it up there.
Still waiting Harold. I know with certainty that I have two sets for doubles. :/
