83 Big Block Mustang for Sale 5K OBO with PICS
I am unfortunately having to sell my drag car due to lack of time to pursue my hobby any more and a need for cash. I am located in Melbourne, Fl. My loss can be your gain, $5000 OBO. Please see specs below:
Track tested: Fastest run 11.68 @ 117 mph, video available.
Car Components Added/Modified:
- 86 front clip
- 6 point cage
- Taylor battery box
- Equipped with shut-off switch
- Summit racing seat
- MSD digital 6
- Manual brake conversion with line-lock
- Flaming river manual steering rack
- 5” Monster tach with shift-lite
- AJE K-member and A-arms
- Slotted rotors
- Front coil over conversion kit with Strange adjustable struts and UPR caster/camber adjusters
- Weld rims 15x4 and 15x8 with almost new 15x10 Mickey Thompson ET streets
- Summit aluminum radiator with dual electric fans
- 2” full length headers with 3.5” collectors
- 3.5” exhaust with Dynomax Ultraflo muffler
- B&M Pro-Stick Shifter with Aluminum cover
- 8.8 equipped with 3.08 posi and Wolfe solid upper bushings
- Plate mounted 1971 429 Thunderjet .030 over crank; 11:25:1 compression
- Runs on 93 but requires lead due to stock valve seats
- Stock crank .010/.010
- Speed-Pro pistons
- Re-sized stock rods fitted with ARP rod bolts
- Studded mains
- 7qt Canton pan
- Weiand dual plane manifold
- 850 Holley carb with jet extension, quick jet change bowls
- Solid flat tappet cam
- Mallory distributor
- Ported DOVE heads
- I also have a sumped tank that is not installed and a 5-port Mallory return regulator
- C-6 Transmission built by Broader performance; 500 hp street/strip version: http://www.broaderperformance.com/C6%20 ... arts-A.htm with less than 1000 miles on it
- 4000-rpm stall 10” converter
- Mini-starter
Problems:
- Someone did some front end work on it and the weld looks like it should be re-done
- It needs paint and body-work
- One stripped lug nut (I have spares)
- Carb leaks slightly and needs a rebuild (parts available)
- I blew out a header gasket due to the bolts backing out (I have the replacement gaskets but haven't had time to replace).
- There are some exhaust leaks, but can be easily repaired
