Yeah no doubt. The cylinder heads were the biggest hold up and still are. They are almost done, but always put off.bruno wrote:138 wrote:a little more info on your quest for others to see....

great read outlaw ....it seems like they field has gained about a second in the quarter since you first started this project ...... but i believe an f3 on this build should still get you there
Now Dart has nice new block that can go 9.600, 9.800, 10.200 with all the features of the DRCE 2 block. I could put a 4.00 stroke in a 9.600 or 9.800 deck and had a 532 and slightly less rpm.

Re: custom thor project
Yes that is GM based, I doubt we will ever see a short deck Ford beside the new prostock block. Power adder will be Procharger F3-139.138 wrote:Outlaw5.0 wrote:Yeah no doubt. Re: custom thor project
moving the lifter bores . did you relocate the mounting point of the rocker stands , valve guides on the E Head . also did you figure out the valve covers

Re: custom thor project
The intake lifters bores are getting moved soon. The valves were rotated much as possible, Intake valve angle is 12 x4 I beleive. Valve covers are just DRCE 2. Rockers are all sorted out. The photo below explains the valve rotation.DanH wrote:moving the lifter bores . did you relocate the mounting point of the rocker stands , valve guides on the E Head . also did you figure out the valve covers
The DRCE head 3 has the bottom valve cover rail moved down, this allows the valves to be rotated more.

Update.......Actually there is no progress on my buddy's intake. He gave marcella $1000 up front over a year ago and he hasn't even started building it yet If you order anything from him, make sure it's for a future project

I agree, BUT,don't string a customer along either. He was told in the beginning it would be no more than 6 months. For the LAST 6 months its been.(quote) you will have it in 2 weeks. be a man of your word is all i'm saying.

My intake took way longer also. John does awesome work, but he is basically a one man show.

Was that FE intake he posted just the other day not your buddies? It sure looked badass for whoever was getting it.
