Oh, DUH!!! My brain ain't workin' today. I read about that, but for some reason thought you were talking about Billy Glidden. It's looking like Perkinson is gonna be one to watch this year. If he keeps that kind of consistency on the starting line, the rest of the field may be playing catch up. Literally.
Plus, I believe those times and speeds are quite a bit better than any of last year's runs.

Rummor has it Bob Glidden is Back With Cunninigham...... and they are turning some pretty good time with the new kid.

Not rumor. Fact. Read the above article. This kid's got serious potential, if he plays as good as he practices. I can't wait to see how he runs out. Sounds like they're not gonna be in Pomona for the opener though. Cunninhame said awhile back that he doesn't have the funding to go clear out to California, then back across the country to Gainesville the next week. Kinda hard to chase a championship if you don't make all the races, I would think.

it's good to see the man know's how to count his money though.i'd rather go hard when i can than half assed all the time.

Yeah, I think the NHRA's scheduling is stupid the way they bounce around the country. I know they're trying to follow the warmest weather this time of year, but they would save travel time & money if they ran from Pomona, around the soutwestern states, like Vegas, & Phoenix, then through the Texas races and work their way accross the southern and south central states that have better weather this time of year. Then up the east coast by late spring, early summer, and back across the northernmost states, back to Pomona to end out the season. It could make it easier for guys like Cunningham to follow the tour. But, it could also make it harder too. I'm not him.
