I'm glad i've never had any issues having any body damage repaired. It was pretty nice dealin with Public Insurance. No hassle, and a HELL of a lot cheaper than i pay now with private ins. companies.

Me too.................by the Grace of God, I've never been in an accident in the driver's seat, in 26 years, needing that attention.

Ole Carrol builds and has built some pretty cool cars. The were all based on existing cars, basicly just a "Tuner" of sorts.

I would think he would want that car fixed right for the image of the GT500KR and forget about trying to gouge the hell out of his customer.

There's a little more to the story that came out this morning.

Apparently the original vendor that produced the hoods for Shelby made no extras, or very few. (Which strikes me as a poor, poor decision on someone's part...) As part of cost-cutting Ford took the molds from that vendor and is trying to get more pieces elsewhere...and what pieces vendor #2 has produced so far aren't acceptable. As of right now, it would seem that whatever stock Shelby has...if any...is the only source, and, "the price is what it is".

I wonder if you can get $18Gs off the price of a Shelby by ordering it "without the hood"? Very Happy
