This is what the old board was all about.
I am glad most of all the good people are over here, it had me worried there for a while.
Here is a good example of what I am talking about.
Thanks to Mike Stevens and his crew and to Kieth and Mr. and Mrs Sherry for the help on the way to the Bash Thursday morning .
I had two tires blow at once on the same side of my trailer and they stayed with my car while I went to get two new tires put on my rims, plus helping take them off and on. David Cole stopped to check on us also but I missed him as I was in route to the tire shop.
We tried to take one tire off the front on the other side and put it on the rear on the opposite side and limp it on to the track on the rear axle but the front axle wouldn't clear the ground
Thank you guys so much, I was by myself and would have most of the day getting out of that jam if it weren't for you
Blake

Blake,
Anytime Buddy !! Just glad we could be of some help. I know how I would feel if I had to leave my pride and joy on the roadside. I'm just glad you didn't wreck and I didn't run over you as you tried to get it stopped

It was rough there for a little bit, I couldn't see you in the mirror at all for the smoke. When both rims hit the ground and one locks up, it jerks the truck hard to the right
I talked Josh Jones into getting into my car and it was like you, when you got in your wife's dragster. I thought we were going to have to turn the car over and shake him out
I thought I saw the roll cage move when he took a big breath to get out

I did make it out of the car though!!
You wouldn't believe how many people I have been telling that I actually got in and out of your car!! (Without breaking something!!)
Thanks for letting me sit in it, it was just a little small but it gave me confidence. Confidence that I will be able to make a cage fit my car that I can get in and out of.
ps. I might have to have a roof hatch though!

You would have done the same for us buddy! I feel guilty that poppa bear had the same issue on their way home and I wasnt there to help. Least I could do since I broke the car again ops: Sure wish that would have happened close to home so we could lay down some numbers but thats racing. We'll get back to it soon!!

Yes, I made it home with no issues. I guess I just ran over something. But I was worried so Will and Jeff followed me home. Thanks for asking Doug, and thanks for the help,
Kieth,
I wish you could get the car here, so I would have someone to go to the track with. No big block fords around here

It always pays to pay it forword.Never know when you might need help on the side of the road. Was on the way to Myrtle Beach blew a radaitor in a no stop light town.Had 14 local residents stop and asked if I needed help. One guy past me and sent his sister back to see if I needed help.here are some wonderful people left in this world, and I can tell there are some wonderful and thoughtful people on this site.Never know when you might need a BBF buddy stop and help.I'm bringing my motor to Jet Boat Bob & Lem next week on the way to Pigeon Forge Rod Run,wish me BBF luck so I don't have any brake down issues.

Yep, all about friends helping friends, even if they've never met anywhere but on the net. It isn't about advertising or making a buck, just about being there to lend a hand. The vendors we have here are the guys who will help you out with any problem you have, even if you haven't bought so much as an air freshener from them.

I live by the "pay it forward" idea. I've stopped to help many folks and when you do they try to pay you or what ever, but I always just say to help someone else out soemtime. Then I have had quite a few stop to help me out to. Its a great way to have things.

It's nice to see like minded folks here on this site.
I've been fortunate enough to help literally dozens of motorists.... from flat tires to dead batteries, from being in the ditch to needing some gas......
One lady had her kids in the car and a flat. I went to change it for her and the spare was flat. I then took her tire 15 minutes away and aired it up, and brought it back. Stuck the tire on and she drove off. I guess she wasn't much for saying thanks, but boy did I feel good about it.
Looks like you guys are some OK joes in my book.
Greg

A buddy and I were coming out of walmart and there was a couple in the handicap zone with a flat. We changed it out for them and they were very happy. Made us feel good as you say.

Guy's, there's lots of good people everywhere, and I appreciate all of them. Damon called and needed a converter ,and I thought about one of my Chevy buddies. I called him up and told him I had a friend that was at the track and needed a converter. He did'nt hesitate or ask 1 ? his next words were ,I have a $1500 Neil Chance, come get it and let's go to Columbus. Thats a true friend.
