valve covers
i have the ford motorsport valve cover and want to weld a bracket off of the corner. it would be 1"x 1 1/4" alum. bar stock to hold my nitrous and fuel log. it would bolt to the nitrous combine fuel log whitch is 1" round stock drilled from each end. nitrous one end fuel the other and drill and tapped on the 11" long side for solenoids. do u think vibration of the engine weaken the cover at the weld.

Re: valve covers
I'd be more concerned about the engine vibrations effecting the regulators ability to regulate fuel properly.........

If your engine vibrates that much, the regulator is the least of your worries

I guess that's why the prostock guys like to run rubber under the carbs and such...............it aint about it shakin like a Japan earthquake, those little ultrasonic vibrations every engine has is what'll dick with it..................
All the guru nitrous guys will tell ya to let the regs hang by the hoses............there is a reason for that...............

Re: valve covers
reg. not on the fuel log its shaking over on the inner fender. engine isnt rough its a mild build. not sure about weld the nitrous-fuel log to the valve cover. thinking heat may be a problem but it sure looks clean. this all got started when making a alum fan shroud needed a small peice of alum. while looking found the round stock wheel started rolling. shroud looks great buff the $hit out of it

Re: valve covers
well got started on my nitrous fuel log. build a jig to hold the bracket to the log so both bracket ears are the same. after playing with a few times iwelded the ear on. then welded the bracket to valve cover bolted the brackets together.WTF i welded the log bracket to the top instead of the bottom. pi$$ed off i left it on the work bench and went to dinner and a few beers. watching the grandkids today so tomorrow its back at it hope i can get it right the second time.

Re: valve covers
are you calling the solenoid reg. or the regulator a reg. because my regulator is mounted to the inner fender. the solenoids will be mounted to the nitrous fuel log mounted to the valve cover
