This is using an Headman Hustler weld up kit there 2 3/8 -2 1/2 step
and I thought I'd get fancy in the collector
Frank

Re: my new Headers
built these 15 years ago in less than 4hours from a 2 3/8" headman kit but one tube got dinged when the car hit the wall a 187mph I' going to change the outer half of the tube and they'll Dyno headers not bad for a $250 kit and a set of flame cut flanges from the local industrial metal shop for $50
The 2 1/2" kit is now $279 and flanges from town were $60 and I have 7 hours in them ,mainly because I got really fussy on pipe to port fit ,ie sides and roof .030" larger and floor .060" larger and on drilling the flange bolt holes 2 are 3/8" holes for alignment purposes and the rest are 13/32"

Frank, I heard cowboys quit wearing cowboy boots, they dont want to be mistaken for truck drivers anymore
I can't lie, I once started welding with some flip flops on, that was stupid.

Re: my new Headers
buy a headman husler kit is's a piece of cake (and the best bang for the buck &USA made!). Note* start with pipes for cylinders 3&7 as your starting point and fit it as your tightest to the block and frame and fit the rest from there

Re: my new Headers
10-4 on the Hedman deal. Their shop is about 5 miles from my place....and it is a great resource when building headers. When I built the ones for the current A-head deal, I took a shopping cart and browsed their warehouse to pick all of the parts. It was a great deal.Frank Merkl wrote:buy a headman husler kit is's a piece of cake (and the best bang for the buck &USA made!). The Husler line of race headers are built at this location also. It is cool to watch the fabricators weld them up. These guys can really TIG. I even took my grand daughters there for a shop tour one time.

frank are you sending those headers to top gun or is there somewhere else nearer to you that does thermal coating. I like the new titaneam coating they have now. JPM
