wilks new motor
I know it's Chevy stuff but I tend to think there is a whole lot of Ford design in this 811 cid chevy

Super nice.
That is more art...than engine parts. The shape of the intake runner looks a lot like a Blue Thunder Thor.
Nice mill!

I love the Dailey pump and pan. Wow.
Glad they marked the passenger side so nobody puts the distributor in the back. LOL

It looks like a seven stage dry sump, and it's beautiful. I see a Sid Waterman fuel pump also. Nice setup on the cam sensor too.

Is the wood spacer necessary on fuel injection?

Re: wilks new motor
here's 1/4 million dollar car it's going in!!
and the motor just off the dyno made 1834 hp wouldn't give me the rpm or the torque!! it's going to make that 2250 lb car run hard !!
but my 712 -A441 headed motor in my 2750 lb car has an advantage , Nitrous oxide and were not scared to use about 16 lb;s in 6 seconds!!!

Re: wilks new motor
Curt,
I am assuming, so you know what they say about that. But anyway, 4 suction sections in the pan, 2 suction sections for the valley or valve covers, and then of course 1 pressure section. As for the wooden plenum spacer, no sir they don't need it with fuel injection and the vibration thing, however I believe they need it for the adjustability of the plenum volume. It's always better to make the plenum a little too small and then be able to add spacers as necessary to increase the volume.
