Like I posted, those are good torque numbers. Questions; what kind/brand of dyno was that? How many channels of data does it give? I don't understand the airflow numbers, unless it just wasn't hooked up. You'll like the Kaase oil pump.

Charlie,
The dyno was a fairly new Stuska. It is set up for gas. Instead of an O2 sensor is uses flow meters for the gas and air to figure A/F ratio. The gas supply is routed directly through the dyno instruments. For air it has a "hat" that goes over the carb. The hat is attached to a 5-6" tube that goes straight up about 5-6' to a mass air meter with a K&N cone type filter. In the dyno sheet above the air flow was disconnected from the top of the throttle body. We were chasing our tails. The engine was making good power and then would fall on it's face and go down at 6400. Acted like it was running out of fuel. Tried everything we could think of with the fuel system with no better results. Finally just disconnected the air hose from the top of the engine. Woke it up. It was just limited for air flow due to the meter/filter.
Without an a/f ratio or bsfc we were just tuning using power output and egt readings. I had my complete fuel system from the car. Cell, belt drive pump, etc. We are still a little rich. Just ran out of time to tune on it anymore on the dyno. I plan on putting an a/f meter along with some egt's in the car to fine tune it.
Started with timing at 30, went to 32 with good results. Tried 34 and it didn't like it so went back to 32. Cam is in in straight up with it set off lifters. (shows 4° advanced on belt drive to to belt deflection.) We never touched the cam timing.
The engine was broken in on on gas (4 very short pulls) with a shop mule 1050 Dominator that was way too small. We made a full pull with it before swapping to alky. Used VP 113 w 102 square jetting. It had the carb hat attached and was needing more air (though we didn't know it at the time) Made 1010 hp and 873 tq on gas. With a correct size carb I'm sure it would have done better.
