Re: TNT 4-22-11
I'm not familiar with your combo, but an 850 on an engine in the power range you are at, seems like it should be plenty of carb to me. We ran a dove headed 466 with a good roller cam, stock crank and rods, and 13:1 comp in a 2800+ lb car and went high 6-teens, low 6.20s with a stock 4779 750 carb. You may want to look at some other things first. This is what worked for us, just my $.02.

Pulled the plugs this morning and it is lean I have the 850 fat as I can get it just not enough gas on top end.

Make sure you have enough fuel pump with no kind of restrictions with your fuel lines. Bigger jets won't help if there isn't enough fuel volume to keep up.

Re: TNT 4-22-11
the fuel to the bowls is not any problem in that area it has supplied enough to a 557 with 1250 took everything out of my buddys car and put in the truck for the gas system all the 1/2 lines have no sharp bends in them.It don't act as the carb runs out of gas but just like it at part troddle on top end.

Dave I went out and check flow today it will fill a gallon oil jug to the gallon mark in 40 secs did it 2 times to make sure. This is with the line about 3 1/2' above the tank through the filter and regulator with 1 line unhooked from carb.
