Gotta agree with Jon, just because they don't make you put it on, do it for the love of your family, and to see the video of your f----up.

Re: tnt again!
In your earlier videos (with the wheelie bars installed) the rear suspension initial hit looked to be a little on the loose/aggressive side (the wheelie bars initially smacked the ground kinda fast/hard). But in these recent clips the rear suspension springs looks to be kinda stiff, to the point where it kinda looks like it's trying to use the sidewalls as the "springs" bouncing on the tires in the burnout & launch (as if the springs were too stiff, or there was too much air pressure).
What's the current rear spring rate, shock valving adjustment, & air pressure?

Re: tnt again!
the video with wheelie bars are last year with my old koni shocks.these are with the new strange d/a and the same 130#springs.i had the shocks at 50/50 in the first video,in this post, and loose on the 2nd one.tire psi was 7.5l/r 7r/r. i was looking at the video and it realy hits the tire hard with the shocks loose, but it 60' better the harder i hit it.i got new m/t stiff sidewalls on the way,we'll see.DILLIGASDAVE wrote:In your earlier videos (with the wheelie bars installed) the rear suspension initial hit looked to be a little on the loose/aggressive side (the wheelie bars initially smacked the ground kinda fast/hard). I really like lawrenceburg. Plus I heard that Huntsville has pretty much crossed into the import and street car scene.Hard to make a fast car hook on all that crap a set of michelins will lay on the track.

Re: tnt again!
130lb rear springs sounds a little too heavy to me for a full chassis car if it's under 2700lbs. 130lb springs sound more at home on a back-half/full chassis car in the 2700/3000 pound range.cool40 wrote:........these are with the new strange d/a and the same 130#springs........
I think I had 80lb springs on my 69 Mustang, which was a little too light for that car. It really needed about a 90 to 95lb spring. I have used both 100 & 110lb springs on my friends Ugly Willys. It responds about the same with either spring on bottle passes, but liked the lighter 100 pound spring on straight motor passes.

S & W recomended 95 lb springs for the back of the 65 falcon...square tube car, steel floorpans...it weighs in at 2900 with driver

I am planning on heading over! My slow junk may need some help setting and tunning my struts, shocks and springs. What time does the track open and whats the cost?

Hey Blake,
Dang havent been to Lawrenceburg in a long time. Last time I was there was in the 90s and I ran pro-mod Q-16. They didnt even have the 4 lane done back then.

Yep if youve ever been upside down rolling after hitting a guardrail at the track you will wear safety equipment. My car is slow at 5.80s but I wear everything even gloves. I noticed that some people just look at me in staging in their "sweat" pants.
Not smart
Re: tnt again!
