Does a shorty glide's "shorty" cover have the support needed to support a drive shaft? I understand in an non-suspended chassis the cover takes no radial load due to no suspension moving and causing the driveshaft to whip around....

Can a shorty be used in a door car successfully? I have a brand new one left over from the dragster. Want to put it in my door car. If need be I'll buy the tail housing and another gearset and have the internals changed...

I'm not familiar with the shorty cover, if it has a long enough bushing and spline length to allow ample room for the slip yoke to have the needed fore and aft movement without pulling out it should work......but again I don't know.
