lol Just kidding but I need your help.

You did recommend using the ford grey crap for gaskets. It worked great to hold the oil pan heater to the pan. Unfortunately I used it as a diff gasket too. I was given the wrong spool and when I tried to install the axels, they don't fit on the passenger side. Now I can't get the *&^%%$#%^^* pot out. Whats the secret for getting the stuff to let go?

Laughing Laughing When the local guru set up mine, he used some goop with no gasket. He told me, " I hope you don't want to change gears, because this will be tough to get apart.". Shocked Let me know how you do it for future reference. Laughing Laughing

A scraper with a stiff blade , smallish screw drivers and go slow.

x2 what Rick said.
We use that stuff at work on chemical and hydraulic pumps.
It works great and makes for easy removal of covers and flanges.

I've used the TA 31 on the diff, it is an outright bitch to get it off and the cleanup around the studs is a real pita............I use the cheap ass clear 'cone in the easy cheese can...............never leaks, not enough heat there to affect it, comes loose easy, easy to clean up for the next application.

I swap gears a lot though, if you are just gonna run a certain screw and not mess with it then the TA31 is fine.
