How do you think the Boss9 would work with a blown injected on alky. engine?

Personally, I think it would work well ... that's one of the applications where the hemi shines; (as long as nitrous isn't involved).

the boss nine heads arent the top of the line RACE Ford Hemi head. The top of the line boss hemi head is capable of exceeding what an "A" head or "C" wedge head is capable of.

However if you are talking aobut something closer to a production head then there are WEDGE heads that can outperform these heads.

I am still not clear EVEN after you said "boss nine" which HEMI style heads you are refering to. I am not sure you know that Boss nine does not cover the entire spectrum of Ford Hemi heads. no offense meant. Specifically do you mean the Jon K heads?

IMO if you are going to suffer the expense of a blown motor, youd be handcuffing it by sticking wedge heads on it.
thats not to say that it wont work, a blown wedge can make a ton of power, just wont out dyno a hemi head motor.

This is not a maxium effort just looking to make 1200 - 1400 hp. The heads would be more for looks than hp.

Match race I guess you would say, I am going to run with the Great Lakes Nostalgia Funny Cars circut. They are mostly BBC chey engine cars with a few hemis . Although it is not index racing if you run faster than 7 flat you get afine. Most of the cars run 7.20 - 7.50 range so horse power is not a problem.

TM Enterprises makes a nice Boss 429 reproduction-style head with some upgrades. Their head is more of a reproduction-style head while Kaase's is more changed from the original in the interest of power enhancements.

Haha! CACKLE, not "crackle." geek

N/FC is more of an exhibition class these days, and while the 4.900" bore spacing rule is being applied (I believe that to be erroneous on the part of NHRA but I don't know for sure) a suprising number of us are still moving forward with a 385 Series powered N/FC car in the belief that N.H.R.A. will alllow the cars to run as they originally were allowed back in the day.

And if they don't let the 385-Powered N/FC cars run, there is a little-known class to run these cars, ya know. Wink
