couple of bad things about the ecoboost
1- way fewer trips to the petrol pumps
2- its too fast .....i feel guilty working that v6 ......
3- it hasnt been in service yet ....my 2006 f250 had its first warr. at 700 miles .....
4- calculated mpg , which is about 50/50 city /hwy and enjoying the pedal too much has netted 17.9 mpg ...not to bad for a truck and several red light to red light bursts ........

Buddy of mine shows up at the track this past weekend to try out his new 4X4 crew cab Eco boost. Ran a best of 9.44 in the 1/8. I was impressed!!

My 5.4 2010 2wd F150 handled my enclosed fine. No issues, braked fine, no sway, no handling issues at 70-75mph......

Re: couple of bad things about the ecoboost
I knew he didnt have it anymore, wasnt sure if he had the 6.0 bedore or after the 5.4 deal. At any rate if ghis eco boost deal has some reliability that would be aweome........ These 6.4 turds cant seem go stay out of the shop..........

Nick,is your truck a 2wd or 4wd?If it's a 2wd low 14's might be possible the guys on yellowbullet.com plus "Race Ready Fabrications" buddies trucks were 4X4's running mid to high 14's.

Re: couple of bad things about the ecoboost
Nick,
I bet it will run a mid 14 second 1/4 mile or better since it's a 2wd.I wish i would have test drove the Eco Boost when they had the test drive thing going on for them.I have a 2010 F-150 XLT Supercab 4X4,4.6 3v,3.73 gears. The best i have run with it was a 16.25 at 84.89 mph.

Re: couple of bad things about the ecoboost
I just drove one for the first time a minute ago, I thought you guys said these run good? Sorry but for 44k I'm not impressed..................never hold a candle to a turned up 7.3.................right Snake?
One might tow a small boat or golfcart, I'd venture a guess my heavy ass enclosed deal would melt one of these new Ecoboost things down the way i drive lol.
Not a slam, but dang.............

Re: couple of bad things about the ecoboost
They must send you guys the rejects or something....the crewcab 4 x 4 I drove moved out about a truck lenght and spun both rear tires. It was not foot braked.......just jumped on the gas pedal from idle. No B.S. true story.
Re: couple of bad things about the ecoboost
This one was a turd, I PDI'd the biotch and sent it to the line anyway.......got my whoppin' .9 of an hour lol.

Re: couple of bad things about the ecoboost
i can tell you this Jon, i pulled this 38' fountain around the block to move it in my shop and it was no problem for the truck --- it was a total of 12,000 lbs , granted it wasnt a cross country trip , but it still had plenty of balls to get it moving ..... oh and btw i payed 28 for my deal with the x-plan and all the rebates
ive towed my car twice already and have had no problems , i would have to say that with tools, generator, compressor , grill and the full steel deck trailer i would venture to say that it is about 6500 - 7000 lbs and it dont even feel likes its back there and this is with the 3.55 gears , sure its not 800 ft lbs of torque , but this truck moves out better then any of my diesels ever did (my 7.3 and my 2 6.0's) ----
the only thing im dissapointed about is the mpg in the city , its been averaging 17.5-18 , but what can you expect when you are having fun driving a truck ......
2435 miles and counting .....still not in service yet

I have driven one and it wont pull with my chipped up power stroke, but the one I drove with the traction control off, it would annihilate the tires in fist gear and pulled like a freight train till I let out of it big torque early and continuous. ....................
It has the power , just don't know about the truck weight and a big in closed trailer.
