Saw a test between the Dodge Eco Diesel and a F150 with the 2.7 Eco Boost.

7000 lb trailer tow. It was very ugly................. The Dodge got it out of the hole about one truck length, and at the end of the 3 mile up grade tow with variable grades the Dodge could not be seen at the finish line shot looking down the hill.

F150 2.7 25 mpg average driving
Dodge 30 mpg

well i couldn't pass this one up !!! was able to flip my negative equity into this plus the rebates and %2.9 financing ..... plus its black to match the Shelby !!! ... the 3.5 had 111,500 hard miles i think she was a little tired .....poor soul who buys that truck

You buy a dodge truck, you get a dodge truck..... There is a reason they are so much cheaper than the other 2. I hear about the wonderful HEMI at work all the time...I tell them to come back in 23yrs and show me their truck.....It will long be crushed and made into new Fiat's unlike the 92 F350 sitting in the yard. A fiat diesel in a dodge truck, that sounds like a pain in the hole waiting to happen! LOL

cool motor.... did some reading. i think it would make a good fusion AWD motor.

no doubt . this truck weighs in around 5k this motor would kick ass in a mustang or a fusion !!!! it is kinda of flat around the higher mph range .... but 0-60 its making some beans !!!!

I remember Adam talking about them don't remember the issue though.Hopefully the problem was figured out before they released them.

Push the Tow Haul button in and it won't shut off when you come to a stop.Have you tried the Sport Mode yet it's like you added a 150 HP shot of Nitrous!!!!

Nick,i agree very responsive peppy engine and i like you had the 3.5L Eco Boost before.This 2.7L Eco Boost is very responsive and under rated IMO.I drove a similar 5.0 truck and thought the 2.7L ran better IMO.I took the 2.7L truck for a ride and was both suprised and impressed.I figure this truck is at least 600 pounds lighter then the similar 2013 F-150 i had.Here's a picture i really like it so far getting 20 mpg in the 850 miles since i've had it.

I figured the power to weight ratio from this one to the 3.5L in the 2013 and the 2015 is a little better!!!!
