Lost a good friend tonight

My wifes grand dad passed away this evening. 92 years young and quite a guy. He taught me a lot about farming, cattle, and life in general. He served in WWII and like many that did had a hard time talking about it. He started the farming business that my father in law and I now run. He was a pillar of the community and served in many parts of it. Ward Bryan was his name. He will be missed greatly.

He sound like he was a great American with a long good life. I'm sure he will be missed dearly.

Thanks for the calls and concerns guys, I appreciate it. The people of that generation are something else. Ward was one of a kind and had a smile and sense of humor that was priceless. He never complained about any set back in life or any hard times, he just shouldered up and pushed on. He was the kind of guy that would not take a hand out, and had trouble asking for help of any kind, and if he did accept help, he repaid it twice over. I wish more people had that same attitude these days with people who don't have enough ambition to do anything, the "someone will take care of it/me" attitude. There are luckily still people out there carrying on that attitude, but it is getting to be more and more rare. The struggles in life, and the attitude to overcome adversity is what made these kind of people.

Rob sorry to hear of you and your family's loss all will be in our prayers.

Sorry for your loss, we are loseing this generation very fast.In my line of work I have the honer of working with alot of these folks.

Thanks for the kind words guys. We layed him to rest yesterday, and it was a funeral that was fitting to the life he led. He was surrounded by a church full of family and friends.
