Had a panic attack friday nite
at the track on the return road after the 1st time run i looked down and no oil pressure i shut it down and got towed back. So yesterday morning while sippin coffee in my pj's i jumped up on my trailor and pulled the dizzy and spun the pump using a diffrent gage hoping it was a bad gage but nope not it so then off comes the intake and i see a lifter and the push rod beside it on #4 intake i guess it came loose due to my super tightning skills anyway when i spun the pump with the lifter down i had 72lbs again so i got lucky i guess it did beat up a rocker a little and the end of the pushrod but thats it.

You need to put one of these in. Jegs Item# 105-3240. It would have saved Rodgers engine last year.

Or at least some sort of warning light.

Yea me too i only can think i just didn't have the polylock tight enuf the other 15 were perfect. I'll keep my eye on it in case it could be the stud or something else. Its been running good so far, i only have 5 full passes on it to date and its in need of a converter bad but it was consistent anyway the times were 10.239 @ 131.71mph , 10.243@132.48, 10.236@132.21, 10.243@132.11 and the last one when the rocker came loose was a 10.454@128.44mph the 60' times were consistent as well despite it spinning every run they were 1.473, 1.499, 1.493, 1.494 and 1.490

Do you use stud girdles?
Glad you didn't lose the engine.
