1971 429 temperature

I have a 1971 429 Cobra Jet that is running what I believe to be too hot. What is the normal running temp for this motor?

What is it running at? Have you tried a different Gauge? What the Outside temp / conditions your running in?

The temperature outside is around 100. Right after I posted the question I thought about switching the gauges to check.

The problem is the 100 degrees outside.
