Got a new truck
The Dodge decided to unmanufacture itself yesterday, and I have to have a big truck to do the stuff I do around the farm. It's an F350 crew cab long box with the diesel. Big D hooked me up with an X plan and there were some big rebates going on right now. This truck is an animal, and so far it's getting about 17.5mpg on the computer. I'll know exactly where it's at after I fill it up some time next month. It has a huge tank and I don't use a truck a lot this time of the year. The wife has mentioned that I can have her Suburban and she can use it for driving to work. A big thanks to my brother from another mother, Big D. That X plan was worth a pile on this deal.

Dont put the def fluid in the fuel tank...............and get a spare gallon and keep on hand..............just in case lol.
Dont get that stuff on the paint either, it will unmanufacture itself from the body............

You could just piss into the DEF tank instead of carrying extra fluid

What sucks is that I just washed the Dodge the day it went BOOM. I don't think it approved of the kindness and affection I was trying to give it.

It's pretty much liquid fertilizer and nasty stuff. A buddy of mine that has one told me to keep a pair of rear tires on hand too. He said his didn't last too long.

Nice Rob! I wish I had one. I may have to go trade my 2011 Mustang in on one. It's stinks to have all that power, but can't use it....without breaking the law, that is...

That's a purty truck Schmitty.Glad to see you in a Ford. People can say what they want..BUT..them dang Cummins are some tough engines..seen them go a bunch of miles and they'll pull like crazy too.I'm hoping to keep my old 7.3 running forever!! Congrats on your new truck ,I hope it goes a million miles

Re: Got a new truck
Well I got bored and it rained again, so my neighbor and I went for a road trip. Truck was a little under half tank, and I decided to top it off and check actual mileage. Had about 350 miles on a little over 20gal of fuel. 17mpg on a brand new engine is just fine by me. There was a few towing miles on this tank too so I'm thinking it's doing just fine.
