2 days until Drag Week!!
Drove it to work and ran errands in it yesterday. Seems to like going down the highway more than plonking along in traffic.

545", TFS heads, FRPP intake, HP950, Herbert solid roller, C6, 4000 converter with 3.90 gears.
Transmission has gone wonky lately, used to work very good, but lately sometimes it is slow to go into 3rd. It may run 14's all week, but I don't care, I just want to make it all the way through the week!!!! I'm out gunned in the Big Block N/A class anyway.
Thanks bruno! It's looks good but seems a bit low in the front. Tough to get a jack under it!

Bill is super cool. Can't wait to meet him in person. He gave me his base tune for his car's Megasquirt when I was running an MS in the Ranger. He was actually who I was referring to when I said I was out gunned in the BB/NA class!
Lentech builds killer AOD's.

Re: hot rod drag week
I sent Bill another set of A460 heads and a tunnel ram last month. It was a real honkin' deal on the dyno.....he and his guys out in Cali did a heck of a job . If someone could get a pic of the t.r. e.f.i. set up it'd be
Re: hot rod drag week
I'll take some pics. Here's Bill's post about his motor from BangShift.
Well, we are pretty happy at this point. After 30 pulls and some serious hair pulling as we chased a bad trigger wheel signal wire we made a best of 1014 HP @7500 and 808 Ft lb @ 5800 on VP MS 109 unleaded and 1006 HP @ 7500 and 793 Ft lb @ 5800 on 76 100 unleaded. The motor likes 28 degrees total with either fule and we found that 26 degrees was virtually as good on the 100 when we ramped the curve up to 30* in smooth steps starting at 6000. We think we are good for driving on 91/93 and racing on the 100 as a precaution.
Final engine specs are 588" TFS A460 heads and tunnel ram manifold, twin Accufab dominator flange throttle bodies, 11.86:1 compression, 282/294/113 Comp roller cam with .825/.815 lift. Engine built by Dougan's Racing in consulation with Lem Evans, George Klass, Wilson Manifolds, about thirty people here on Bang Shift and the Virbancic Brothers George and Bob for an amazing dyno experience.
Huge thanks to Brian Rock and Scott Clark for the massive three day thrash to get everything ready for the dyno and to Chad for telling us that we have what amounts to an over sized LS motor and to drop the total timing to numbers we'd have thought were silly going into the dyno.

I'll tell Bill to tell Chad......that the LS engine [not motor] maybe an under sized BBF
Re: hot rod drag week
Well I'm out sort of. The Mustang pushed a head gasket on it's first pass during test n tune. I had plenty of offered help to fix it, but was hot dehydrated and unmotivated. Talked to the Hot Rod folks later and they said I could switch to running my Durango in Daily Driver. So the mustang is out and the tow truck is in! This event is a blast and HIGHLY recommend it! There are 177 cars entered this year, the biggest Drag Week ever. I am having a ball just driving and taking pics and enjoying the event.
Here's your pic Lem!
