Mine has the 3.8 in it I have checked the fluid level it's fine not burnt still nice and red.The wife was coming home yesterday afternoon said the check engine light started flashing and it acted up alittle.I went out check everything everything checked fine only code it pulled up was the o2 code I drove it down the road everything seamed fine. This morning we got in and started to church stop at my sister's to get the baby.Went to back up nothing not even a grunt of movement got out checked the fluid still right on the money.I swicthed it off then thought I need to move it so my sister can get out fired it back up trans worked fine.I told the wife maybe it will make it so we tried it well it went until it shifted into od stop pulling,I bump it to nuteral coasted up to a driveway.I switch it off for a few sec then fired it back up it working again so I head home it stoped again at the bottom of the hill I shout it off and fired it back went right back in gear so it at the house now. When the trans works it shifts fine no slipping or anything.Just wondering if it would be one of the trans siloniods I am going to drop the pan in the morning and make sure the filter is not stopped up only about 8000 on fluid and filter and the way the fluid looks it not going to be the filter.

That's odd, even if it were electrical reverse and the man1 should work. I've seen the TR sensor get an open and miss gears go to n etc, but never cause a total loss of all gears.

The pump shafts are bad about stripping the spline in the torque converter, but when they do it its done.

Just went out fired it up went right in gear backed up and went farward no problem.I didn't drive it any where as I didn't want to take a chance and have to walk back.I pull the dip strick the fluid is still red and does not smell burnt no metal or anything shows up on the stick.Going to put it on jack stands tomorrow for I can get under it and check for any loose connections if none going to drop the pan and check it out alittle more.I still have the old trans so I can pull and clean up the electrical parts off it and try.

Don't really now what caused it droped the pan, pan was clean but the filter was stoped up.No metal or brass in the pan didn't see any in the filter eather but the filter was stucked in at the tube where it go in the valve body. The magnet was evern clean in the pan I put new filter and 6 qt of fluid in it now it working again the shifts are alittle softer put about 30 miles on it. Maybe it will last until I go back to work then it will be time for something different I think I have gotten my money out of it had it 3 1/2 years payed $1800.

That would explain things, that is odd for a filter to plug like that, almost like it was a fluid issue or something in it. I've seen friction material plug one but it usually has other concerns lol.

Jon I never saw a filter do that looked like the felt wasn't in good where it sandwiched together.I should have taken some pic of it but didn't think about it is was getting hot out there before I got finished.
