What the hell happend??

I made some beer chicken on the grill the other day and I just can't get any taste out of this. Don't get me wrong it was freaking good but, where the hell is the beer taste?? This was my 3rd time cooking it this way. Still just good chicken but no beer taste. Any of you guys ever make beer chicken?? Why is mine just so so??

it all depends on what beer Denaro ..... the beer is to keep it moist also

The beer does make the chicken moist

First off D, you need to be pouring it on the chicken not in your belly

The beer is just to keep it moist. Ive tryed othe stuff like orange soda, pepsi, and grape soda, al taste the same, but good.

I use some of the beer out of the can with other stuff as the rub. Not really a beer taste, but finger lick'n chicken!!!!

What kind of rub are you guys using?

I use beer from the can the chicken sits on, any salts, peppers, garlics, butter.......what ever you want to put in it I guess!!!! Rub it down a couple of times during the cooking process and it comes out tasting great!!!

Hey AL, Just chilling down here in Southfield. Trying to get this beer chix right. So from what I'm reading it 's not suppose to taste like beer, the beer just makes it moist-right.

That explains a lot guys. It's always moist, now I can use any can of anything!!!

I don't really have anything constructive to add. But that picture made me think of that music video with the dancing chickens from the 80's.

Denaro ,maybe you should try putting the can down it's neck ,rather than up it's butt...Just a thought Dancing Chickens..pretty cool

Nope, I'm convinced that the beer has nothing to do with the flavoring. I used a can of red pop and it came out the same way. In order to get that flavor I just marinated the chickens the night before and that totally change the taste!
