Getting close to installing engine for front and midplate placement and I waqs wondering if there was any room to move engine back without modifying the trans tunnel or firewall. Im running a single dommy trickflow intake and backed with a JW bell Th 400. Pics are good too. thanks royce

Connect the engine and trans and stab it in the car. Put it where you want it. I put mine as far down (1/4" from R&P) and back (bellhousing bolts 1/4" from firewall) as possible. That's the nice thing about motor plats Smile.

Have a good day!
Michael

Edit: I suggest having the headers, steering shaft, ect installed before you mount the motor/mid plate tabs, too.

I'm running a C6. With the engine setback I used, the trans x-member lined up with the trans mount and didn't require any modifications.

the AJE trans mount is a nice piece 2 tabs on each side welded to your subframe connectors works great.when you hold it in your hand it looks like a u i welded mine towards the front,i should have turned it towards the rear for better header clearance.

skinny kid makes a front and mid plate that will locate the motor in place well.the back of my mid plate to the firewall not sure in inches but theirs plenty of room to reach the top bell houseing bolts.i was useing a moroso oil pan and now i am useing a charlies oil pan both work good around the steering rack.

if you use the hooker swap headers they are for the fox body cars.they will work on the sn95 cars but in my experance the passenger side has to be modified.drivers side works fine no mods but the skinny kid mid plate will have to be knotched on both side for clearance.
