KING OF THE CONCRETE..............

MWSC is putting on their "backwards track" race this sat night at TVRP, gates open at 10:30 and racing starts at midnight. I think they have over 18 cars entered, its 200 buy in, runner up gets like 500 and winner takes the rest. My junk is too slow or I'd take it, but they are having a grudge class and I think there are over 50 car/trucks entered! We are taking the kids chevy shortwide, we swapped intakes and put a serious tune in the new Cold Fusion plate he got. I just filled like 5 nitrous bottles and we are all set to go have some fun..............

You cant imagine the size of the crown that turned out for this thing, some serious fast cars gettin down on a unprepped track.........well the starting line was lol.

Doc with the 70 Monte took the win, he took out some serious competion.

I didnt get home until 5:45 this morning, I'm too old for this shit lol, did have a blast and the kids truck hauled ass..........he raced a buddy of his with about the same year truck, but at 1000#'s lighter, and more motor. He put a light on his ass the first pass and won, had to lift a bit on the second and the guy got around him. I went and weighed the bottles and it used right at 2#'s per run.

A while back the Denton track had a "no prep/backward race". I think the track surface was either new or resurfaced/ground flat. They went ahead and raced the normal direction though since it was all raw bare concrete.

I guess the trick was to calm the cars down just enough to get past the first few rounds without tagging the guardrail, slowly ramping up the power as more & more rubber was getting put down each round. But as expected you will always get some guys that say "track prep?....we don't need no stinkin track prep!" & went all-balls from the start . It was a "steering wheel & pedal fest" for sure.

you know from the MWSC site what this is all about so dont be dissin'.................I didnt take my only because it aint fast enough. This was the only close call of the night, it was Troy's first time and he knew going into it it was gonna be hairy.................I'm not sure he even used a bottle. I've seen Doc's car go 30's, it may have more in it now though I'm not sure. The Opel gets screwy like that when he shuts its down.................he knocked the fenders off of it 6 weeks ago at a normal direction race lol.

He spun and was out first round.

Comstock with the Sonoma had issues with Nitrous coming on and went out first round.
