New Project
[b][i] Well here is the new project. A 67 Ford F-250 Camper Special, as plain as plain can get. Factory radio delete as well as heater delete. The second owner (Bought in 78 with 47,000 miles) upgraded the truck to a C-6 AT, addded the radio and heater then repainted in 81. Was not happy with the paint job because the truck was not prepped right at the bed seams and jambs, The paint is pealing in several places. Parked the truck pretty much. I saw the truck on ebay but it looked to good to be true and I would not bid on it. Auction ended on saturday nite at 11PM and at 9AM Sunday morning I was looking at the truck in Ohio. I took cash and a dealer tag 400 miles and 6 hours. The truck was actually nicer than he let on which was rare to say the least. Made him a take it or leave it offer, even though I made my mind up that I was going to pay full price if he did not take the offer. He took it and to my surprise we had to make a trip a few blocks and pick up all the extras that went with the truck. Factory back glass, all the 4 speed stuff, trans, z bar, clutch pedal, bell, flywheel, pressure plate, drive shaft, radiator, and the original straight stick steering column. Also had the owners manual, all three factory shop manuals, the original radio delete plate and a bunch of other stuff. He never threw anything away. It had 50,200 miles on it when I purchase it off the 70+ year old owner.
I purchased the wheels and 10 ply tires this week as well as ditched the 1 1/2" glass pack exhaust system and built a 3" x pipe with PYPES stain less mufflers and tailpipes. This is all for the future upgrade............... 500+ inches of pump gas torque monster with an E40D trans.

I love the Alcoas. Very cool touch. That's got to be the only 352 in the world to be exhausting through a 3" system and an X pipe...LOL.....
I bet it sounds pretty good!

Nice score Travis. Looks like a very clean rig. You're going to look really cool pulling your 62 with that.

Actually its nicer than I wanted. I was lookin for a nice soild truck with so so paint that I did not have to worry about scratchin. I have less in this truck with the exhaust , tires and wheels than the asking price of the one you looked at for me. Has 2 small holes in the bottom of the core support, no patches, no undercoating except for the spray on crap under the hood. It looks like the old Gulf Grease coat that they did years ago. Hard and flaky when its cool, run the engine up to temp and then the coating is sticky as hell.
Thanks for the compliments,
Travis

The 3" is very quiet with the X pipe. Sounds real good with the 4.10's cruising at 70 mph.

Hey Mark,
Truck came from Galion,Ohio about 1 1/2hr north of Columbus. Sold new there, second owner was local also. I sold the wheels but they were the newer metric pattern. Bought these local, were kind of rough. I stripped the clear and polished them, 4 hours later they look better than new.

Very nice truck Travis!
one thing....
that D60 rear is most likely a 16sp unit. Before you swap in the 500ci torque monster you might consider finding a 30sp carrier and shafts for replacement.
