[/quote]maybe try putting some timming back into it,say 4degrees and 1/2 pound of fuel,,Now if, your planning on hitting it harder with the spray?, I would tighten the converter up alittle. keep a close eye on your plugs , hope your run ngk's ?, I like to run a #8 to#9 anything obove 150 shot, hope this will help ya. 1970 mavrick

first of all is i would start out with a smaller tune ....... second the tunes you are talking about are way to rich . give S-I a call and discuss some baseline tunes before you do some serious damage ... btw what does she run n/a ?
oh and let me add one thing i run a 10 jet spread on my plate and the same fuel flow #s 5.25 and she might still be a hair rich ..........

Re: Nitrous problems ,car will not pick up
We did a 102n 85f, 5.5psi with a 64 hole Cold Fusion plate on the kids 383 truck, went from a 13.20 motor pass to a 11.15 on the hose, pulled 10* from a 36* total timing.
My NX plate is a 8 hole deal that uses square jetting at the 200 and up levels, but its an alky set up.
Honestly I'd box up the plate, pills, noids etc and send it all to Steve J. at I.S.

Re: Nitrous problems ,car will not pick up
Call ult. Conv. Get a true 10" conv. 4000 rpm, go with a 3.73 gear. The harder you spray the car the more it will like. Your motor passes will suffer, but she will like the spray.

Re: Nitrous problems ,car will not pick up
The cam is not a nitrous cam but my cam grinder says the car will slow down with only a 250 shot with a nitrous cam. if i could get a cam that would pick me up a tenth on motor with my set up i would buy it .i just dont feel its possiblewhatbumper wrote:sounds to me like the cam is not ideal.

Re: Nitrous problems ,car will not pick up
I just know no matter how much nitrous I threw on my last nitrous motor it would only pick up about 180hp so that is what we jetted it at. Yours just sounded familiar.

big shot plate
so i bought a big shot plate and put 90 nitrous and 80 fuel jets, should be around a 250 shot, 5 1/4 pound fuel pressure ,pulled 12 degrees of timing and went 5.61 , plugs look like i can ad a degree of timing back in so with a little more tuning i thing i can get into the 50s , back to the track again, 85 fuel and 95 nos jets pulling 13 degrees of timing, went 5.56 . the motor dont come down any on the shifts, need a different converter. i think im going to stop at this point with jets
