Re: Keith Fulp for the win!
Thanks for the nice comments and support, guys. I just get in there push a few buttons and the car does the rest. The '58 deserves all of the credit.
My opponent in the final has raced several events with me in the last 2 years and must not be very observant.
We had almost equal lights, and he "took off" as the old 605 was in timing retard mode. I chased him down, but he did not know that I was apporoaching him at about 15 MPH faster than he was (Chevy powered) running. He let off the gas as I rolled by at about 1200'. I might have even given him a nice little wave as I rolled past and flashed the throttle a few times. He said that he thought that he had it won, since I was not within view.
2011 has been an unusually good season for my race operation. The Lucas Oil series in Division 2 featured the 10.0 index class in 2011. I was on vacation during to first 2 races but in the remaining 4 events, I won 2....semi-finaled in one...and lost in round 1 in the other.
End result...#3 in the Division in that class. I am happy with that! The guys that finished above me attended (and got points for) all 6 races.
Thanks again for of the support!
