spring height

I'm putting a new set of springs on my cousins GT 40 steel heads. Comp. cam springs with new keepers and retainers. I didn't talk to Comp. but they told him the installed height needs to be 1.800. What are the tolerances, plus or minus how many thousands? Say 1.790- 1.810 Thanks guys

The 1.790" to 1.810" range will work fine. If it's .015" or more, then you need to start adding hardened shims under the spring cups.
