How many runs before rebuilding lifters?
I have about 150 passes on my comp roller lifters. How often do you have these rebuilt?

I would think it would depend alot on spring pressure. I have put over 300+ on sets w/o problems on very high spring pressure.

Re: How many runs before rebuilding lifters?
spring pressure i would say is a big factor
my last set lasted me about 40 runs
got them rebuilt and went about 25
at the time i was running alot of spring pressure
possibly more than i needed and it was in a 4x4 pulling truck
and thease motors take a heck of a beating
i now run oversize crowers so far so good
but i have heard alot of ppl like the comps
i will say i dont see myself buying another set for a all out race motor

Mike,
Rule of thumb is to rebuild the lifters after 150 passes. You can rebuild yours or buy a new set while selling your old set. The price break is about the same. What I do is rotate out lifter sets if/when they need to be rebuilt.

Re: How many runs before rebuilding lifters?
i am not knockin comp's but honestly i would rather pay a bit more
for a better set and get more runs out of them
like i said i am not impressed with comp's but i am not easy on stuff
so far crowers got my vote

I've had real good luck with the Morel's, I dont drive it on the street nor put 1000 runs on um though.
