Thanks Lem! Off topic, but I actually did that on the advice of an Engineer friend at work. He showed me a photo from an electron microscope that was a cross section on a piece of cast aluminum. It looked like a mountain range magnified that big. He said this is were cracks would start under enough load. Smooth out the peaks and valleys and it will be less prone to cracking. Of coarse he said do the entire block , maybe on the next one.
Never heard of a BBF cracking in the lifter galley though

Hey Doug I see you added the drain backs on the front...did you do the dist. oiling mod as well?
